Kozi’s is a South African steakhouse in the heart of Melissia, inspired by memories of South Africa — its rich flavours, vibrant culture and the good times shared around the table.

It’s a place where friends and family come together for honest food and even better company. No fuss. No pretence. Just great food and good people.

Our Story

Two cultures. One table.
A story that began in 2010.

Kozi’s opened its doors on 26 March 2010 with just nine tables, a simple idea, and a genuine love for good food.

Inspired by the two cultures Kozi grew up with, the restaurant brought together the warmth and generosity of South African cuisine with the familiar flavours and traditions of Greek cooking. It was never about creating something complicated. It was about taking the food we love, bringing two worlds together, and serving it the way we believe food should be served — generously, honestly and full of flavour.

What started as a small restaurant soon became something much bigger. Recipes evolved, new dishes found their way onto the menu, and our guests became part of the journey. Their feedback, enthusiasm and appetite encouraged us to keep experimenting while staying true to what made Kozi’s special from the beginning.

Today, Kozi’s may look a little different from those first nine tables, but the heart of the restaurant hasn't changed.

People and food come first. Always.

We believe great dining doesn't need to be complicated. It begins with quality ingredients, homemade food, generous portions and dishes cooked with care. Add a welcoming table, good company and a little Greek–South African spirit, and you have what Kozi’s has always been about.

More than sixteen years after opening our doors, we are still guided by the same passion that started it all — to make food we're proud to serve and create a place where people genuinely enjoy coming together.

South Africa is known for its braai (barbecue), great company and a passion for good food. That’s what we’ve brought to Kozi’s. From traditional favourites like Boerewors to South African wines, we stay true to the flavours we love.
